Four of the BBBB Consultants, Ken, Len, Jim and Bob made a trek to Miles City Montana to witness the “BUCKING HORSE SALE AND COWBOY EVENTS”. As soon as we arrived in Miles City we experienced a thirst as if we just completed a trail drive. At Trail Inn, we found the events included Montana whiskey tasting! And since we are always endeavoring to find our readers’ new whiskey we took on the assignment to taste from two incredible distillers from Montana. We struck gold! Mary Pat and Jennifer greeted us with an American Spirits welcome and taste of golden whiskey. Mary Pat and her husband own Bozeman Spirits Distillery and distill a range of homegrown spirits. 1889 Whiskey is bold and perfectly fitting for Montana, around the campfire, on the range or just enjoying the mountain air. We had difficulty holding back with just one ok two tastes. Plus, Mary Pat and Jennifer are absolutely delightful. You will welcome the Montana fresh- barley rye and corn. We immediately ventured over to the liquor store and fond the last bottle of 1889 a bargain at $38.49. Go to the website Bozeman Spirits Distillery to view their variety of spirits.
Then we struck another vein of gold tasting BIGHORN BOURBON- DISTILLED BY ROBIN AND WILLIE IN ENNIS MONTANA. The distilling process is perfected with Bavarian Holstein Still shipped over from Germany. Willie adds just the right touch of wild Montana honey providing that smooth sip every time. Steak dinner will be that much better with a taste of Bighorn Bourbon both before and after dinner. Patrick Griffith, the lucky sales rep. shared a taste of Montana Moonshine, which is the whiskey, clear in color, before the lengthy aging process. Big Horn was also scarce in Miles City after whiskey enthusiasts discovered the treasure.
NOW. WE FOUND THE GOLD MINE !!!!
FIRST I AM WELL AWARE THE BBBB BYLAWS SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT WHISKEY ONLY AND NOT WINE BUT THE BBBB AGREED TO ONE WORTHY EXCEPTION.
TONGUE RIVER VINEYARD AND BED & BREAKFAST IS THE GOLD MINE YOU MUST VISIT. (Actually, this place is better than a dusty gold mine because you won’t get dirty and a mine doesn’t have wine) Marilyn and Bob have established a captivating Bed & Breakfast right on the vineyard property. About two miles from Miles City, this couple originally from Minnesota, along with son Bob, are producing an incredible selection of wine with a distinctive and divine experience. As if the wine alone is well worth the trip, make reservations to stay at the bed and breakfast after the wine tasting. Melodie will charm you with admirable l accommodations and a healthy breakfast. The scenery, hosts, accommodations, and wine is the MOTHERLODE. Thank you, Melodie, for your hospitality. www.tongueriverwinery, com Don’t wait for the Bucking Horse Sale next May to relax
JIM, KEN, JOE AND LEN – THE CONSULTANTS ARE CONVENING, COMBINING VALUABLE EXPERTISE AND UNBIASED CRITIQUE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
