What about Bob?

As a retired: Railroader – Air Force Veteran ( Vietnam 1970) – Rodeo Cowboy (bulls and bareback, semi pro, very semi) – Rugby player and coach – Fund Raiser Auctioneer – Labor/Mgt. Negotiator and Arbitrator – each and every adventure was accomplished when accompanied, before, during or after, with a bit of bourbon/whiskey. Bob continues the adventures with the welcome expansion of admirable whiskeys distilled across the country.  Sure, still golfing every opportunity.

Buckaroo Bob is not a self-proclaimed expert or a bourbon sommelier’. But more an exploring enthusiast of locating the preferred bourbon for the particular occasion, event, entertaining, career choice, just relaxing and – truth to be told- medicinal purpose. This will take meticulous tasting and travel to distillers, but it is all for you the followers. (OK a little bit for me.)

A graduate of U of Utah, college instructor on conflict resolution, certified food judge, oh and graduate of Rodeo School in Colorado, raised in the West, (Utah) worked in Wyoming,
Washington and California, now residing in the Deep South (Mobile, Alabama), the bourbon blogging will span a full spectrum of appraisal from all regions of the Country.. Most of all- Bob is all about FUN!

And as mentioned, as a former negotiator and Arbitrator, this blogger is fairly thick skinned, so feel free to contact me through the blog or email with your comments, arguments, counter- opinions. Plus after a shot on the rocks, I don’t really care. (For instance, if you notice misplaced punctuation, don’t worry about it, just edit for you and move on!) Note: the only exception is if anyone said anything disparaging about my daughter, I will come after you; my sons, hey, that’s different.

Kind of like the list of life skills mentioned above, I didn’t say I was really good at it, but after a wisp of whiskey, I thought I was. Bourbon is not a crutch but rather a charming enticement……… And another item, been in and out of a little politics, but no politics will be mentioned or condoned because it ruins the taste of the whiskey.

A group of “fun seeker” consultants will be listed soon. These volunteers, with a variety of backgrounds and knowledge on bourbon and life will be called upon for road trip tasting and thoughts on the who’s who and why of whiskey. OK not completely volunteers, I will buy a couple of drinks, including an occasional scotch but not a messed up mixed drink, diluting the taste. The list will be on-going as the blog grows so let me know if you are interested.
